Generation of a single-mode squeezed state via a non-degenerate parametric amplifier

摘要
It is shown that a non-degenerate parametric amplifier can produce a single-mode squeezed state with any squeezing parameter and coherent amplitude, by combining a homodyne detection as conditional measurement on the idler mode and controlled beam splitting for the signal mode, where the strength of the local oscillator mode in the beam splitting is determined by the measurement outcome of the idler mode.
