摘要
The recent discovery of oscillations in interlayer exchange coupling as a function of nonmagnetic spacer layer thickness has led to a widespread interest in oscillatory magnetic properties in layered structures for both basic and applied reasons. In this overview, several oscillatory magnetic properties are discussed for a particular model system. We have chosen epitaxial fee Co films grown on Cu(100) as a base structure and have selected additional epitaxial overlayers to study interlayer exchange coupling, induced magnetic moments, magneto-optical properties, and magnetic anisotropy.
