Dehydrogenative cross-coupling reactions between phenylsilane and ethynylbenzene in the presence of metal hydrides

摘要
Dehydrogenative cross-coupling reactions occurred between phenysilane and ethynylbenzene in the presence of the metal hydrides, such as LiAlH4 . NaAlH4, LiBH4 and LiAlH(Ot-Bu)(3) to produce some ethynyl compounds. Phenylsilane and diethynylbenzene produced a higher thermally stable polymer, poly[(phenysilylene)ethynylenephenyleneethynylene]. The activities of the reactions were discussed on the basis of the mechanism involving the alkynyaluminate aion. (C) 1998 Elsevier Science S.A.
