Laser frequency stabilization using selective reflection spectroscopy

摘要
Linear selective reflection spectroscopy with frequency modulation has been used to lock the frequency of a diode laser to a Doppler-free hyperfine component of the Cs DI line. We discuss the performance of this novel frequency stabilization scheme and analyze its dependence on various system parameters. The technique is compared to the commonly used saturation spectroscopic techniques.
