摘要
Biomimetic crystallization of calcium phosphates from previously introduced revised simulated body fluid (R-SBF) was performed in a strictly controlled physiological (t = 37 degreesC, solution pH = 7.4) conditions using a constant-composition double-diffusion (CCDD) device. The precipitates were found to differ from those obtained from R-SBF under less controlled conditions. We argue that in order to achieve good simulation of the biological mineralization, the appropriate medium (currently, R-SBF is the best), the slow crystallization kinetics, and strictly controlled crystallization parameters (ionic concentration, pH, temperature, hydrodynamics) must be chosen.
