摘要
A relatively simple system of differential equations was used for predicting growth of eucalypt coppice stands. Only limited, low quality data was available, from small continuous forest inventory plots not originally designed for growth modeling. Therefore, biological principles and growth patterns observed elsewhere were used to constrain model form. The differential equations used are analytically integrable, facilitating usage and estimation. Similar models and techniques may be useful in other data-poor situations.
