Photoionization of Fe XV from threshold to the K-shell

摘要
The photoionization cross section of Mg-like Fe xv is calculated from the first ionization threshold to 700 Ryd using the R-matrix method. The detailed structure and resonances of the cross section across the L- and K-shell thresholds is described. These resonances are shown to enhance the photoionization rate of Fe xv by up to several factors, when illuminated by an x-ray flux.
