摘要
The frequency shift of thickness-shear-mode resonators (f(0) = 10 MHz) in liquids was described as combined effects of rigid mass loading and viscous damping. The thus obtained relationship was used to determine the activation energy of viscosity by impedance measurements on TSM devices in liquids at temperatures between 20 and 45 degrees C. Good agreement with literature data for water, methanol, ethanol, 1-propanol, and 1-butanol was achieved.
