摘要
Experimental data from the paste-boriding process during growth of a Fe2B layer have been used to estimate the diffusion coefficient of boron in Fe2B based on a kinetic model obtained from the mass balance and considering thermodynamic equilibrium at the Fe2B/alpha interface during growth. A diffusivity of boron in Fe2B was obtained: D-Fe2B = 1.311 x 10(-6) exp (-151 x 10(3) kJ/RT)(m(2) s(-1)) for 1223 K < T < 1323 K. (C) 2002 Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reserved.
