On diffusion of Cu in ZnO

摘要
An experimental study of Cu diffusion in bulk ZnO single crystals in the temperature range 1012-1220 degrees C is presented. Concentration profiles of substitutional Cu were determined by IR absorption at 5817 cm(-1). Our findings reveal that Cu in ZnO diffuses faster than previously reported [G. Muller, R. Helbig, J. Phys. Chem. Solids 32 (1971) 1971]. The discrepancy is tentatively explained by the formation of Cu complexes, which occurs at high Cu concentrations. (C) 2009 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
