{catena-(μN,S-NCS)[Ni(Medien)(NCS)]}:: a new 1D nickel(II) complex with bridging thiocyanato ligands in cis position.: Crystal structure and magnetic properties

摘要
The mu(N,S) thiocyanato nickel(II) monodimensional complex, {catena-(mu(N,S))[Ni(Medien(NCS)]} (1) where Medien = N-2-methyldiethylenetriamine, has been synthesized and characterized. The crystal structure of this 1D complex has been solved by Patterson synthesis and refined by full-matrix least-squares methods. {catena-(mu(N,S))-NCS)[Ni(Medien)(NCS)]} is the second reported structural example of a nickel(II) chain in which the neighboring nickel(II) ions are linked by thiocyanato bridging ligands in a cis geometry. Magnetic susceptibility data, measured from 5 to 300 K show ferromagnetic behavior. These data were fitted to the de Neef equation, giving the parameters 2l 1.92 cm(-1), g = 2.18.
