Spectrophotometric determination of chromium(VI) by extraction of the dichromate anion into propylene carbonate

摘要
Chromium(VI) (0-120 mu g) can be determined spectrophotometrically st 362 nm after its extraction as dihydrogen dichromate into propylene carbonate. The effects of acidity and diverse ions are reported. The relative standard deviation for the determination of 60 mu g Cr(VI) was 0.81% (n = 9). The system has been applied io the determination of chromium in steel (0.2-4% w/w Cr). (C) 1997 Elsevier Science B.V.
