Genomic signal processing: Diagnosis and therapy

摘要
Genomic signal processing (GSP) is the engineering discipline that studies the processing of genomic signals. Its aim is to integrate the theory and methods of signal processing with the global understanding of genomics. This discipline encompasses some methodologies related to signal profiles, including detection, prediction, classification, control, and statistical and dynamical modeling of gene networks. By way of examples, it is illustrated how pattern recognition and network analysis are critical to diagnosis and therapy for genetic diseases such as cancer.
