Ni(1-x)Zn(x)Fe2O4 (0less than or equal toxless than or equal to1) mixed ferrite nanoparticles encapsulated with amorphous-SiO2 were prepared by a wet chemical method. The diameters of these particles were estimated from X-ray diffraction patterns as ranging from 2 to 6 nm. Magnetization measurements were performed for each obtained sample under a +/-50 kOe field. Magnetic parameters, such as saturation magnetization (M-s), permeability (mu) and coercivity (H), were determined from M-H curves. The relationship between saturation magnetizations M-S and the Zn concentration was almost similar to that between the saturation magnetization and Ni-Zn ferrite bulk crystal, however, the absolute values of M of the nanoparticles were about 30% smaller than those of bulk crystal. The decrease of M in the nanoparticle system might be attributed to the canting surface spins or ion distributions is the abstract. You may use this Word document template to write your article.
