摘要
The first two articles in this series discussed the fundamental concept of T-cell co-stimulation as a key event in the induction of any immune response, in addition to reviewing the current data on the role of co-stimulatory molecules for the induction and progression of allergic airway diseases. Based on these considerations, this final edition will delineate and discuss novel strategies for the prevention and/or therapy of allergic diseases based upon the modulation of costimulation.
