Errors in the management of patients with bone and soft tissue neoplasms have devastating effects on patient outcome. Many of the errors have recurrent themes and are usually avoidable. By using a logical approach to the management of metastatic disease, surgeons may avoid some of the common pitfalls associated with treatment.
