摘要
The development of stress-sensitive coatings was investigated by combining materials that undergo resonant Raman scattering within high performance polymer matrices. The polyurethane nanocomposites (SWNT-PU) filled with dispersed HiPco single-wall carbon nanotubes were suggested to offer a much higher accuracy as strain sensor than the one of micro-phase-separated copolyurethanes (DA-coPU) systems. The use of single-walled carbon nanotubes (SWNT) as strain sensitive Raman-active material was found to show great potential compared to PbO coatings. Non-linear behaviour was observed at higher strain for PU/SWNT nanocomposites suggested to be the result of the debonding of the SWNTs from the matrix and their slipping within the bundles.
