摘要
In this contribution, a new set of controller tuning relations is developed. The main disadvantage of the existing tuning methods is that they may lead to closed-loop performance results which are quite different from those desired. The proposed relations overcome this disadvantage by explicitly considering the characteristics of the closed-loop behavior. These expressions relate the parameters of the controller to the parameters of a first-order plus time delay (FOPTD) model of the plant as well as the overshoot of the closed-loop response to a step change in the setpoint.
