Nonlinear magneto-optical Kerr effect in second-harmonic generation is observed in the one-dimensional magneto-photonic microcavities built up of two nonmagnetic Bragg reflectors separated by a magnetic garnet half-wavelength spacer. (C) 2002 Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reserved.
