摘要
The application of Nd2O3 thin films at the surface of a chromia-former alloy decreased the high-temperature isothermal oxidation rate and prevented the oxide scale from spallation. A polished cross-section was yielded to locate the rare-earth element in the external part of the oxide scale, embedded in a spinel phase above the main chromia scale, SEM and TEM observations on a grinded sample showed that neodymium was segregated along the spinel phase grain boundaries and was included in a complex phase with a structure close to "CeTi21O38".
