Calcination and rehydration behavior of Mg-Fe-CO3 hydrotalcite-like compounds

摘要
The reconstruction behavior of Mg-Fe-CO3 hydrotalcite-like compounds (HTlcs), inclusive of the calcination and rehydration cycles, was analyzed. The initial Mg-Fe-CO3 HTlcs were prepared by the coprecipitation method. Spinel was detected as a second phase during repetitive calcination and rehydration of Mg-Fe-CO3. The amount of MgFe2O4 spinel increased with repetitions of the calcination and rehydration cycle.
