摘要
Thermally exfoliated graphite (TEG) has been shown to be an advantageous material for consolidating silicon carbide. The reaction behavior of the TEG-silicon melt system was investigated. The benefits given by the application of TEG for preform preparation are stressed. Efficient techniques for quick reaction annealing are proposed. Basic structural features and properties of sintered ceramics are presented. (C) 1998 Elsevier Science B.V.
