摘要
This research is directed to the developing of a new silicon microchip technology to investigate the structure and dynamics of the cell-semiconductor interface subjected to various chemical (nutrients, hormones, drug solution, etc.) or physical (change in temperature, light, electric field, etc.) stimuli. The proposed fabrication technology of the sensing element on silicon can be adjusted for a wide range of applications, as follows: (a) nanoelectrode array (NEA) as working electrode in an electrochemical cell on a chip and (b) a single nanoelectrode (NE) situated in A microfluidic system for the electrical measurements of the cellular processes when a direct contact of cell membranes with the semiconductor chip.
