摘要：

Monodispersed Fe nanocrystals up to similar to2 nm thick, similar to50 nm wide and similar to120 nm long have been electrodeposited from the ionic melt AlCl3 -1-methyl-3-butylimidazolium chloride {AlCl3 -[MBIm](+) Cl-} at room temperature on Au(111) and have been characterized in-situ by electrochemical scanning tunneling microscopy.
