Non-symmetric surface waves in cylindrical waveguide structures with radially non-uniform plasma filling

摘要
The dispersion properties of axial non-symmetric potential surface high-frequency waves propagating in a cylindrical waveguide structure that consists of a radially non-uniform plasma layer, partially filling the metal waveguide and immersed in an external axial magnetic field, are investigated. The influence of the azimuth wavenumber, waveguide structure parameters and magnetic field value on frequency, phase and group velocities, the resonance damping of the SW is numerically and analytically investigated. These investigations are carried out both for SWs at the interior and exterior plasma boundaries.
