Figure Presented Prickly silver: Ag nanothorn assemblies with large-scale (111) faces gradually grow from a flocked nucleus into sharp nanothorn structures (see graphie). Large-scale Ag (111) faces are obtained because of its low surface energy. © 2010 Wiley-VCH Verlag GmbH & Co. KGaA, Weinheim.
