摘要
The magnetic properties of unoccupied electronic states of Pt films grown on Fe(001) have been investigated by means of spin-resolved inverse photoemission. Interface and overlayer derived states are clearly identified, while their polarization dependence indicates a ferromagnetic coupling between Pt and Fe. The magnetic moment induced in the film remains, however, confined at the interface and polarization effects disappear above similar to 5 Pt atomic layers. The persistence of interface derived states in thicker films points towards the formation of a nonabrupt interface.
