Optical-infrared spectral diversity in the Kuiper belt

摘要：

We have measured the optical and infrared colors of live Kuiper belt objects to search for evidence of spectral diversity among these bodies. We find extreme differences, especially in the measured V-J color indices, that indicate a wide range of surface compositions in the Kuiper belt.
