Cytosensor techniques for examining signal transduction of neurohormones

摘要
This review describes the principles of microphysiometry and how they can be applied, using the Cytosensor, to the investigation of the signal transduction mechanisms activated by both G-protein and non-a-protein coupled hormone and neuropeptide receptors. The use of the Cytosensor to study desensitisation and cross-talk is also discussed, as are the benefits and limitations of this technique.
