Organic light emitting diodes with semitransparent metal cathode

摘要
The metal-dielectric one-dimensional photonic band gap(MD-PBG) structure which consists of several periods of Ag/LiF for total Ag thickness of 50-200nm is investigated. Broad, highly transmissive pass band can be achieved by adjusting the thickness of the Ag layer and the number of periods. All the Ag layers are electrically connected by the LiF layer doped with Ag. The typical semitransparent OLED with ITO/fPD/Alq(3)/MD-PBG structure is fabricated and the experimental results are discussed.
