A new three-dimensional iron fluoride pyromellitate K(H3O)[Fe2F2(C10O8H2)]•3.5H2O

摘要
The three-dimensional iron(II) fluoride- 1,2,4,5-benzenetetracarboxylate K(H3O)[Fe2F2(C10O8H2)].3.5H(2)O labelled MIL-66 was synthesized hydrothermally at 473 K. It is triclinic (S.G. P-1) with following cell parameters: a = 8.8349(4) Angstrom, b = 9.3019(4) Angstrom, c = 10.1608(4) Angstrom, alpha = 73.315(1)degrees, beta = 86.746(1)degrees, gamma = 75.338(1)degrees, V = 773.71(6) Angstrom(3), Z = 2. The 3D structure is built up from chains of [FeO4F2] octahedra sharing trans fluorine vertices. These chains are connected by 1,2,4,5-benzenetetracarboxylate anions leading to a 3D open structure: K+, H3O+ and water molecules are located in a complex way within the channels. MIL-66 orders antiferromgnetically at low temperature (T-N approximate to 10 K). (C) 2002 Editions scientifiques et medicales Elsevier SAS. All rights reserved.
