摘要
The effects on propagation in directional couplers made of non-Kerr-law material are examined. Many unstable modes can exist at one input power level, in contrast to only one for Kerr-law material. Special design features are possible by tailoring the dependence of the refractive index on intensity. © 1990 Optical Society of America.
