THE MECHANISM OF OPERATION OF WO3-BASED H2S SENSORS

摘要
WO3-based sensors are selective and sensitive to H2S. Their mode of operation has been investigated and the materials characterized using scanning electron microscopy, Hg-porosimetry, X-ray fluorescence and X-ray diffraction. Thermal analyses have also been carried out. The reaction mechanism is facilitated via an anion-exchange process. The results of the characterization processes are described and the kinetics of reaction are also analysed, which will allow for the optimization of these devices. © 1990.
