EFFECT OF CALCINING CONDITIONS ON THE FORMATION OF THE HIGH-T(C) BI-PB-SR-CA-CU-O PHASE

摘要
Starting BPSCCO powders with various amounts of the high-T(c) phase were prepared by different calcining conditions. A low-T(c) phase was dominant in a powder calcined at 800-degrees-C for 10 h along with a small amount of a very low-T(c) phase and some non-superconducting phases but no high-T(c) phase was present. When this powder was reheated at 853-degrees-C, the high-T(c) phase was formed. The volume fraction of the high-T(c) phase increased with increasing reheating time at 853-degrees-C. On the other hand, T(c) of the sample calcined at 800-degrees-C for 10 h and reheated at 853-degrees-C for 24 h and then sintered at 835-degrees-C for additional 48 h was 104 K with a sharp transition.
