摘要
Miscibility and phase-separation of bisphenol A polycarbonate/poly(methyl methacrylate) (PC/PMMA) blend are studied by examining the H-1 spin-lattice relaxation behavior. The observation is done indirectly through high-resolution solid-state C-13 resonance. The blend is found to be homogeneous on a scale of 200-300 angstrom, but heterogeneous on a scale of 20-30 angstrom. The phase diagram is obtained by analyzing the recovery curve of H-1 relaxation of the blends heated at various temperatures for 30 min. The kinetics of the phase-separation were also observed, and found to be governed by spinodal decomposition.
