摘要：

Conclusive spectral evidence for the structure of categallin, pyrogallin, and erycetin, three flavanotropolones related to theaflavin and purpurogallin, is presented. The synthetic, chromatographic, and spectroscopic data for 4 simpler hydroxybenzotropolones are also recorded and discussed.
