LIGHT-SCATTERING MEASUREMENTS OF PHYSICAL AGING IN A MOLECULAR LIQUID DURING VARIOUS PRESSURE TREATMENTS

摘要
A study of longitudinal modulus of a molecular liquid (5P4E), at hypersonic frequency and under pressure, is presented. Experimental results of the Brillouin shift, after a single pressure step through the glass transition region and during more complicated pressure treatments, are given. The time evolution of the Brillouin shift can be computed, for each pressure history, using the concepts of fictive pressure and memory effects. A distribution function of relaxation times for the structural processes is assumed. A good agreement, within experimental errors, between experimental and computed values is obtained. © 1990.
