EVIDENCE FOR INTRINSIC AND EXTRINSIC SEMICONDUCTING PROPERTIES OF LUTETIUM DIPHTHALOCYANINE THIN-FILMS

摘要
Thermoelectric power measurements show that the lutetium diphthalocyanine presents, under vacuum and without any intermediate contact with air, an n-type intrinsic conductance that can be attributed to the radical character of the material. Under ambient conditions the material becomes p-type: this extrinsic p-type semiconducting property is induced by oxygen doping, as commonly observed with metallophthalocyanines. The carrier mobility is 102 times higher in these non-intentionally oxygen-doped polycrystalline films than in the amorphous ones. © 1990.
