摘要
Seven compounds, all derivatives of benzanthrone, five of them containing an unsaturated group, have been synthesized. They were characterized by elemental analysis, UV/Vis and H-NMR spectra. Their spectroscopic characteristics, such as fluorescence and phosphorescence, have been studied, and the photostability of two of them assessed. Coloured polystyrene has been synthesized in the presence of the dyes and the influence of the dye on the photostability of the coloured polymers established.
