摘要
The organic components in peat can be classified into two principal types: energy-rich components (bitumen, humic acids and non-hydrolysables) and low-energy components (water solubles and easily hydrolysables, reducing substances, fulvic acids, and cellulose). The energy-rich components have a positive effect on the energy content of peat and they favour the formation of energy-rich products under thermochemical treatment of peat. The calorific value is a measure of the content of energy-rich components in peat and the yield of energy-rich products that may be obtained from it.
