PRODUCTION OF COCHLEAR POTENTIALS BY INNER AND OUTER HAIR CELLS

摘要
Cochlear microphonic and summating potential recordings were obtained from preparations [guinea pigs with kanamycin damaged cochleas] where only either inner hair cells (1st-turn recording) or outer hair cells (4th-turn recording) could have contributed to the potentials. A comparison suggested that outer hair cells do produce the preponderance of receptor potentials.
