摘要
Pyrite (FeS2) is a semiconductor with a high absorption coefficient (alpha greater-than-or-equal-to 5 x 10(5) cm-1 for lambda less-than-or-equal-to 700 nm) and a suitable energy gap (E(g) almost-equal-to 1 eV) for photovoltaic applications, especially in heterojunctions with polycrystalline wide band gap semiconductors. Thin layers (100-500 nm) have been deposited by reactive DC magnetron sputtering from pyrite and Fe targets in a H2S/Ar atmosphere. The optical and electrical properties strongly depend on the deposition conditions.
