INFRARED DICHROIC STUDIES ON THE ELECTROCHEMICAL CYCLING OF POLYTHIOPHENE

摘要
The morphology of polythiophene films grown electrochemically has been explored by infrared dichroic measurements. The early stages of growth, to give long well-ordered chains, is succeeded by at least two different growth mechanisms involving either relatively long, flexible chains or short, stiff, interlinked structures, depending on details of the electrochemical growth protocol.
