摘要
Tetraphosphonate calix[4]resorcinarene 1 has been isolated in its iiii conformation with the four P=O groups pointing inwards. Complexation studies proved 1 to be an efficient extractant and a powerful ligand for alkali metals and ammonium cations. It is assumed that the phosphorylated crown delineating the upper rim of the cavity and the aromatic cavity act cooperatively by means of ion dipole and specific x-interactions for encapsulation of size adapted cationic species.
