ROLE OF MULTIPLE MINIJETS IN HIGH-ENERGY HADRONIC REACTIONS

摘要
The multiplicity distributions of charged particles in high-energy hadron collisions including the production of multiple minijets are considered in the framework of the eikonal formalism. Large-multiplicity events at high energies are found to be dominated by the production of many jets with 2 less-than-or-equal-to P(t) less-than-or-equal-to 4 GeV. The contributions from larger-P(T) minijets become prevailing for high-multiplicity fluctuations in narrow rapidity intervals.
