摘要
The recent progress of the biotechnology of glycoproteins has aroused great interest in the functions of the carbohydrate chains. In order to elucidate the structure-function correlation in carbohydrate chains, a convenient method which allows both qualitative and quantitative analyses of the carbohydrate chains is indispensable. This review covers the development of a new method for identifying and quantifying N-glycosidically linked oligosaccharides in glycoproteins, based on two-dimensional mapping by high performance capillary electrophoresis, which has proved to be of potential value for this purpose.
