Even in the absence of a substrate, compounds of the type trans‐[Rh(CCHR)R′L2] undergo isomerization in benzene at 25–50 °C to give π‐allyl‐and π‐butadienylrhodium complexes 1 for R′ = CH3 and R′ = CHCH2 (= 2), respectively. However, in the solid state the alkynyl(ethene) metal compounds 3 (R = Ph, tBu; L = PiPr3) are formed from 2. (Figure Presented.) Copyright © 1995 by VCH Verlagsgesellschaft mbH, Germany
