摘要
(1) Deep inflammatory conditions of the scalp frequently lead to a premature transformation of numerous hair follicles of the foci and their vicinity into the phase of catagen. These conditions, as well as superficial inflammation may produce the anagen synchronization of the hair cycle in the vicinity of the lesions. (3) The inflammatory conditions may stimulate follicle melano genesis leading to the production of pigment deposits in the hairs. These deposits in the growing hairs can he observed only in cases of deep inflammation. (4) On the other hand, superficial inflammations, which lead to the production of deposits, further causes a precocious onset of catagen. Therefore, deposits mav also he observed in the roots of non-growing hairs. Such a mechanism may also be encountered in deep inflamma tory conditions. © 1968 S. Karger AG, Basel.
