摘要
In the present study we report work on polypyrrole/polystyrenesulfonate composite films (PP/PSS) prepared by the electrochemical oxidation of pyrrole under totally nonaqueous conditions in the presence of an organic soluble polystyrenesulfonate salt. These films are significantly different in their electrochemical behavior when compared to films prepared and studied in aqueous solution. The response of these films to changes in applied potential has been examined with respect to the film conductivity, spin content, and charge content. Interrelations of these various parameters are considered as functions of solution electrolyte. Finally, a molecular level model is presented which rationalizes the conductivity of these films as functions of oxidation state and electrolyte.
