ANOMALOUS 2-ELECTRON STATES IN THE FERMI-LIQUID OF 3D METALS

摘要
Assuming a purely repulsive interaction, we show within the framework of the ladder approximation that two electrons in an almost filled band or in an almost empty band can produce collective states. These states are analogous to the states which were recently predicted for the 2D electron gas with short-range repulsive interaction. Experimental evidence for the existence of these collective states comes from the energy shifts in the line shapes obtained in core-valence-valence Auger and appearance potential spectroscopies of 3d metals.
